I think we're probably all in agreement as far as families go. My family members strengths and weaknesses are one and the same. The reasons that I love each and every one of them are the same reasons that they all also drive me insane. Thanksgiving was a lot of fun in terms of food and champagne. Sonja was here with the Gehlsens in her turn as the obligatory friend-of-Gehlsen-child-who-drops-in-for-major-holiday. I think that she had fun for the most part. She likes to watch kids twirl batons.
Just for the record, God did something really tremendously right when he made Jake and Joey
and Courtney
and my mama
and my brother
and a million, billion other people that I'm really thankful for, but who I'm feeling just a little too melancholy and self-absorbed to name. I know, I'm a real charmer, but you know who you are.
I'm gonna go read The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, watch Harry Potter ATPOA, and avoid phone calls from creditors. Dudes, it's the day after Thanksgiving, seriously, take the day off.
